Who’s Ronnie?
I’m Ronnie Tokazowski, a cybersecurity researcher and Chief Fraud Fighter with over 15 years of experience in threat intelligence, scam analysis, and fraud prevention. My work focuses on tracking the people, infrastructure, and patterns behind cyber-enabled crime — from business email compromise (BEC) and romance scams to pig-butchering and crypto fraud.
Throughout my career, I’ve built and led security operations teams, collaborated with law enforcement and financial institutions, and produced threat intelligence reports that have helped organizations identify, disrupt, and prevent fraud. I regularly present at conferences and industry events, sharing insights on the evolution of scams, the social engineering tactics behind them, and how collective action can make a measurable impact.
While much of my research focuses on the technical side of fraud, I also advocate for scam victims — helping reshape public understanding of how manipulation, trust, and emotion play a role in cybercrime. My goal is to close the gap between the analyst’s perspective and the human experience of being targeted or deceived.
Through Anti-Scam Education and Intelligence for Good (I4G), I collaborate with partners across the private sector, non-profits, and law enforcement to strengthen resilience, share intelligence, and build a world where education and empathy outsmart exploitation.
